I actually think this is quite thin for a hand lotion and found it more body lotion texture.
I liked the cocoa butterish aroma and thought that made it suitable for both men and women as it was not overly feminine.
Although I liked this I am not sure i would rush ti but it as there are just as good products that do the job for a lot less.
I was lucky enough to get a small sample through a beauty box and enjoyed trying this but I would not pay full whack.

Elemis has always been a trusted and wonderful brand for me and no matter which product I try it always yields results. This is the first time I have tried a body and hand lotion from Elemis and I was intrigued to see the results.
The product is housed in the signature blue Elemis packaging and has a soft squeeze tube and screw top lid. The lotion has a medium consistency and is white in colour. As I always moisturise after bathing, without fail, I prepared my skin for this trial with a customary body scrub prior to use. Not only is this beneficial to the skin at all times it is essential before trialling a new body product to gauge its true performance. If you have dry flaky skin and you apply your moisturiser on top without sloughing off the dead cells, the product just soaks into the top layer of dead skin cells and you will find that you need more product than necessary to see any benefit.
As my sample was very small, it was only really sufficient for a couple of applications but certainly enough to gauge the capabilities of this lotion. When dispensed the lotion has a pleasant, mild powdery fragrance and due to its consistency, it is very easy to apply. The light lotion absorbs into the skin immediately without the need for massage and has a lovely silky feel upon application. Your skin readily drinks in the moisture and it leaves a subtle but beautiful sheen on the skin. Sadly for me, this lotion is just too light for my needs. I prefer heavier, more nourishing lotions and creams and the moisturisation ceased to be apparent on my skin after only 1 hour. It left me with the feeling that I needed to moisturise again which is not a big draw for me.
I have also trialled this on my hands and when first applied it feels very moisturising and silky smooth but sadly, once again the feeling disappeared quickly and I needed to layer on top with my normal heavy duty hand cream as my hands still felt dry.
All in all I have no doubt that this is a good quality product but I feel it would be better suited to young skins or to those that prefer light moisturisation. The benefits were not sufficient for my skin and I did not feel that this lotion would benefit in the long term.
I would not hesitate to recommend Elemis to others who are looking for a high quality brand, however this product did not quite make the usual Elemis quality grade for me and I feel that there are some higher performance products for a lower price tag that would benefit me more. As a product that claims to nourish dry skin, I did not feel the description is quite correct
