SPOILER ALERT: Glossybox April 2013 Spring Fever was created by Dese
I had cancelled my subscription to Glossybox last month, and when I saw the pic of the new box I wasn't really inspired to resubscribe. I think it was the Richard Ward product that put me off. However, talking to another member who began raving about how pleased she had been with hers, I decided to have a closer look at the other possible contents and took the plunge.
I watched the postman walk past the house yesterday, and felt a little glum. No more post till Tuesday and then I will have to wait till Wed to collect it if it is a parcel. 'Never mind', I tried to tell myself, but I was a little miserable. However, when I opened the door later in the evening I noticed a parcel sitting on the doorstep. My heart just leaped for joy! It took me only a couple of seconds to rip open the box and reveal the lovely floral box designed by singer and textile designer, Pearl Lowe. It is a lovely warm pink and monochrome box. I shall certainly be reusing this box to keep some trinkets, it is a beauty.
So what about the contents? Well, I wasn't disappointed! I did hold my breath, hoping the Richard Ward product would not be one of the items, but I was OK. I would say that all of the items we either excellent, or good cupboard staples. The colour of my Essie nail polish is called 'Cute as a Button' and I tend to agree. It is a lovely warm pink which complements the packaging of the box perfectly. Dermalogica made an appearance in the form of Daily Microfoliant. I am always a little nervous of exfoliators, due to my sensitive skin, but I acknowledge that this is a top notch product. A bottle of Lipcote is a cupboard staple for me, I have used this since my teens, being such a perfectionist when it comes to using lip colour.
The delight came when I found a decent sized sample of fragrance from Yves Rocher. I am so tired of receiving 1ml samples which are not luxury sized by any stretch of the imagination. This little bottle has an appealing shape and the fragrance sweet, spring-like an floral. It's an absolute winner with me!
Now for the final product by Nip+Fab. I received the body butter in Coconut Latte, and I have to say that it is delicious. I instantly felt I would like to try others from this range, and checked out the link. Many of their body butters are half price at the moment, so you can get a full sized item for about £5, which is very reasonable. Don't go for the three for the price of two offer, or you will end up paying more. I really love my body butter, and another member told me her Mango variety was divine too. It's worth investigating.
If you didn't order a Glossybox this month, you are not too late. I checked their site and yesterday they were still offering the April box for new subscribers. They will probably change box after the long weekend, so you need to be quick if you want to get one of these. It really is a good month for Glossybox!
